‘Call me Al’ hosted by 91 year-old sage, Al Geto
produced & directed by Howard Vicini
on AccessSF – Channel 29
the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 8 pm
Our host is Al Geto, a 91 year-old firecracker from Brooklyn, N.Y. He attended NYU and Yale School of Drama and has been a life-long political activist since campaigning for NYC’s Mayor LaGuardia for his first term while Al was in college.
Al worked his entire career in NYC in theater, copywriting, and advertising. At a time in his life when most average seniors are dependent on others, Al still works regularly, driving himself to perform dramatic readings under contract to senior residences in the Bay Area. The show’s purpose is to inspire generations of baby-boomers as they are fast-approaching their retirement years – and even-younger generations – with Al’s continued community involvement and fine example of how to apply a lifetime of experience to contemporary issues.
